Ashley Kate
In the blogger world, it can get pretty easy to get addicted to reading a particular blog fairly often. Sometimes it's every week, or every day or even several times a day. The latter they call stalking :). Any way, I came across this blog at least a month and a half ago and I check it every day sometimes more ( like today) because I wanted to see how this sweet little girl was doing. Her name is Ashley and she is 2 years old. She is in need of a multi-organ transplant in the very near future. I think she is just beautiful. Many of you have told me how much you enjoy my writing and I really appreciate your kind words but this woman has a gift...a real gift. She writes such passionate posts when she is speaking about any one of her three children (or husband). She is a lover of the Lord and I know that her love and care for Ashley is the reason she is still on this earth. It pains me to read of her trials and tribulations and how she struggles to balance all that she has to but she does because she has God always by her side.

After reading a post of hers detailing how stir crazy and bored Ashley was getting, I decided to ask her if I could send her a few toys in honor of Sophie's birthday. I know that it has to be pretty daunting to stay at the hospital morning..noon and night with her but she does. She wrote me back and said that she normally doesn't accept gifts like this but because I was honoring Sophie, she gladly accepted...or as she put it, I was blessing them. I like that. I asked her to go on Toysrus.com and pick out some things that she wanted her to have and I would order them for her. She did and then I did but now Ashley may get to go to a hospital closer to home until her transplant. Not sure if they will get there before she leaves but I will just have them rerouted in transit. (I didn't know you could do that!) She hasn't seen her brother and sister in a month now and I am sure she misses them. Please keep this angel in your prayers.

Ashley, you hang in there sweet girl. We are thinking and praying for you here in Mississippi. I hope you like your presents we sent...Sophie would be so proud to share her toys with you.

Please join me in praying for Ashley Kate. She needs as much prayer as she can get. If you want to see some inspirational reading check her momma's blog out here...Ashley's Journal. She has quite a readership and I for one, am a big fan.
