I love....
Today I was reading a blog that had I keep up with pretty regularly. It is a great blog that is kept up by a guy who has an 8 week old baby that was born at 24 or 25 weeks and a wife that was just placed on the transplant list for a double lung. Their daughter is less than 2lbs. and she is breathing on her own without a vent!!! Can you believe it?! God is soooo good. Now just to get her mommy some new lungs..... He has such an inspirational and funny way of writing. Someone had an idea of writing to his wife, Trish, all of the things that they love and a few things that she will get to enjoy with their daughter...hopefully one day soon so here is my list:

I love...

  • her new smiles...that first one changed my life. I can't imagine anything more beautiful.
  • that she is here. SAFE..HAPPY...HEALTHY. What a beautiful gift she is.
  • the sight of a poopy diaper after she hasn't pooped in a while. It is amazing how a big fat poopy diaper could make you so happy.
  • watching her make new discoveries and her reactions to her surroundings. Her world is sooo interesting and new!!
  • her clothes and how darn cute she looks in them. She's even cuter...in just a diaper and a bow :)
  • the ginormous flower headband...her Daddy calls it a satellite.
  • knowing that her sister is looking out for her. She has her own personal angel.
  • the feeling I get when just picking her up makes her feel better.
  • how much Bella loves her....she is a great big sister too!
  • how big her eyes get when she hears one of our voices for the first time after a nap. Those eyes say,'WHEW! I am so glad you're here!'
  • that she is a sweet baby...a really, really sweet baby.
  • that I have the choice to stay at home with her and a husband that supports whatever I want to do.
  • her fat rolls! She looks like a Shar-pei!!
  • that her Daddy works hard and takes such great care of her. It is wonderful knowing and trusting that there is someone else who loves her the same way you do and that her best interest always comes first.
  • the way she makes these sweet cooing sounds. To me, they sound better than any symphony I've ever heard.
  • the lint that gets between her toes...not sure why but I laugh every time I pull of one of her socks and I have to check her toes for sock residue :)
  • being her Mama. I have told several people this...the pay stinks but the benefits are unbelievable. I wouldn't trade it for any other gig in the world...no matter the pay.
  • the way everyone loves her. She is a special little girl and I hope she will use her time here on this earth to make it a better place.
  • that she makes me feel like a have a true purpose in this life.
  • my God, saviour, and friend
  • my family, they are always there no matter what
  • my friends, some have just come into my life and others have been here for a long time, without them I would be missing a part of my family and a part of me.
  • Grace
  • food on my table and a pantry full of more then we deserve
  • living in a country that offers me many freedoms that I would not otherwise have
  • the privilege of worshipping God freely and not being afraid of persecution
  • ears that can hear, music, rain, the ocean, birds....
  • eyes that can see how beautiful my life truly is
  • a voice that can praise God and speak of His goodness
  • having the knowledge of a God who is mighty to save, whom then shall I fear...
  • the ability to make a difference in the world
  • resources to redistribute...
  • peace
