Candlelight Vigil
Tonight we went to the cemetery where Sophie is buried for their annual candlelight vigil. We are fortunate enough to have her buried close at Natchez Trace Cemetery and it's also owned by some very good friends of ours. They were incredible to us when they had to help us with our arrangements and treated us like family. We will never forget all that they did for us during that time.

The Boy Scouts help set out about 3500 luminaries...one next to each grave. They have a service and it ends with a bag pipe player leading everyone down to the cemetery to light the candles at dusk. When they are all lit it is absolutely spectacular. People ride through the cemetery to see it all lit up and they even collect donations to benefit the Special Olympics. It is special night and it really means a lot for me to go out there and light a candle for her. This year, we had Landry with us and we were able to show her off to some of the people we have met over the last few years. They were very happy for us and it ended with a lot less tear shed than in the past. Thank you, Lord for a beautiful start to Easter!
