From Daddy

Happy New Year, Buggins!

You will never know how great you made 2008. Thank you for coming into our life and thank you for being such a wonderful child!

Other things I am thankful for:

Whenever you say “Daddy”
Whenever you say “Uh-oh…”
How healthy you are
Such a wonderful wife and mother. She has worked with you so much!
Your sometimes stubborn attitude. This morning, you kept standing up in your “big girl” chair. I would ask you to sit down and you wouldn’t….until I started to walk over to you. As soon as I turned back around, you would pop up again – this time with a giggle and a big smile…very hard to get angry with you.
How you love to make a mess. You will walk over to your toy box and pull everything off of it, spread all the books and toys across the floor, and then go back to playing with something that was already out…..I guess you just like to design the room your way.
How you hate to be confined (in your car seat, in the crib, and sometimes in our arms).
The sign language Renee has taught you. It is so cute when you ask for milk, or a bath, or a diaper change….
How you are so friendly to everybody, and not shy in the least.

Landry, it has been a great 2008! I don’t know how many times Renee and I have looked at each other and said “Four years ago, would you have ever thought we would be (talking baby talk, changing diapers, having fun giving you a bath, spending time doing whatever instead of golfing, sleeping or whatever, etc., etc., etc…..)” and being so glad we were doing it instead of those other things!! I love you with all of my heart….I can’t wait to see the changes that 2009 bring!

A song you’ve heard a million times from me already (especially when you are screaming in your car seat):

My buggins, my buggins
Shore is a pretty girl
My buggins, my buggins
Prettiest in the world
When she goes walking down the street
She says hello to everyone she meets!
She’s my buggins
My buggins
Prettiest in the world!

Happy New Year Bug! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Love,

Daddy
