Trust
Today I had a friends teenage daughter come over so I could see if I was comfortable letting her watch Landry. Now most of you that know me are probably going 'She is going to let a 17 year-old watch LANDRY?!! NO WAY!!' Well, much to my surprise, I was really comfortable with her. She was very mature, very respectful and Landry immediately took to her. How could I feel bad about that? She has been certified at St. Dominic's and knows Infant CPR and she came highly recommended. This was a big step for me because I won't leave her with just anyone. I guess any new mother feels this way but for me the lack of trust I have in leaving her goes a little deeper than most. It's getting better but honestly, I would rather be with her than without her. I work her into every aspect of my life so rarely do I HAVE to leave her with someone. I do need some me time on occasion but Mike is pretty good about giving me the time I need. She spent 3.5 hours with us today while I was here and I observed her and her style and thankfully she passed the litmus test. Tomorrow night is her first night with Miss Ashton. We'll be in the neighborhood and we'll be with her parents so I won't be too far. Maybe next time I will go somewhere where I will actually have to get in my car.
