Today was a big day at the Mader house. Landry went to her first day at Moms Morning Out. I didn't think I would ever put her somewhere until she was at least 2 years old but Mike really wanted me to do this. As much as I work with her and play with her she is starting to get bored with her Mama. Hopefully the interaction with other children and adults will do her good. She is really a people person and I think she will love it. Her Mama on the other hand had a hard time leaving her this morning. She did great for most of the time but did have one meltdown toward the end. She ended up falling asleep in the arms of one of the ladies there and was still asleep when I picked her up. She was so tired that she didn't wake up when they handed her to me, I carried on a full conversation and I got her all the way into her car seat and she never made a peep. I drove home and she finally started to stir when I was getting her out of the car. They said she played very hard and got along with the other children very well. All in all, I was very proud of both of us on this big day. We both had a little separation anxiety at first but quickly recovered. This is a picture of my big girl and her new friend. BTW...A tooth is starting to make it's way to the top. I could feel it today. It's really just a short matter of time.

Renee,
Being a stay at home mom, I also had really bad anxiety on the day I had to hand the boys over to capable trusting hands. I just knew they would cling to me screaming proving to the world they could not possibly survive without their mommy. Needless to say each of the four times my heart was broken. I was the one crying proving to the world I could not possibly survive without them for even three hours.
Now they are grown and I knew they would have such a hard time leaving home, not being able to survive or breath without their mommy by their side.I have learned they have survived(if I could just get them to do their laundry)without me at their side. They are on the paths to their own lives...but they do know mommy will always be here waiting for them to cling to me proving to me they can't breath without me. I have never been more proud of my boys and the men they have become.
I'm am so glad Landry did so well on her first day. it is definitely harder on us mommys then them.
Love,
ABM
